The Fellah wicker stools by Denmark-based Sia Hurtigkarl Degel and Pia Angela Rasmussen function as both stool and storage.

The individual baskets can be stacked in various combinations directly on the floor or in a frame. Each basket comes with a removable cushion which means they can be converted into seating. Although hollow, the combination of woven rattan and bentwood means the the frame of the stool is strong. The stools were inspired by the silhouette of Fellah, the round earthenware jugs carried on their heads of female farmers in ancient Egypt.

The Fellah stools were made in collaboration with Egyptian craftsman with the hope of translating ancient Egyptian culture into a modern, contemporary design.
