With her go faster stripes and images of athletic prowess, Stella Jean is having an Olympic moment of her own. Just in time for the closing ceremonies of the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, Jean instead focused on summer Olympic events such as track and field, long jump and fencing, all of which appeared as imagery on her clothes. Lane markings were interpreted as stripes and numbers as graphic elements on ties, skirts, and bibs. She didn't stray too far from whimsy but by downplaying her overtly indigenous and tribal influences, Jean has managed to create a savvy and sophisticated collection.
