Table Zoo by RONG

This trio of stationery tools called the Table Zoo is by RONG, a Shanghai based multi-discipline design studio that focuses on branding and packaging. Consisting of a bird pencil container, a hedgehog pushpin holder and a frog tape dispenser, Table Zoo is a product design project that veers away from staid and boring office tools to new and fun territory by pairing animal features with the functionality of work.

Fuck You suit by David August

He may not be making the best life-choices at the moment but there is no doubt he takes his fashion seriously. We've been meaning to feature the amazing suit Conor McGregor wore in the run up to his match with Floyd Mayweather last year for a while. The impeccably fitted, custom pinstriped suit had a secret message for his opponent and was the perfect combination of his showman bluster and sartorial style. Designed by David August, the suit features vertical stripes that repeat the words "Fuck You" and features details like French facing construction stacked buttons, purple camouflage silk lining, and hand-stitched detailing. Each suit is numbered and signed by the CEO.

Lungolinea ping-pong table by Adrino Design

We tend to feature a lot of wooden furniture here, so this is a huge departure for us. The Lungolinea ping pong table by Impatia looks like a Ferrari compared to the pieces we usually feature. As the traditional ping pong table had been largely unchanged for years, the designers wanted to reinterpret the classic form. The result is a table made of transparent crystal glass that is as much a work of art as it is a functional piece of furniture. The standard table is regulation-sized and comes with four paddles and a net, but if this iteration isn't impressive enough for you, the "ultra premium" edition comes customised by the addition of 24 carat coated connecting joints and a net kit that has been handmade by an Italian goldsmith.

There's no doubt, the clean lines and clear surface of the Lungolinea table makes it a truly stunning piece.

A Place of Our Own, Bryce Charles Pantry
Image | A Place of Our Own, Bryce Charles Pantry
We didn't have the heart or interest to write a feature on this year's Charman Prize (coverage of previous years can be found here, here and here), but we did love this entry by Bryce Charles Pantry. Once again, Bermuda was the subject from which the artists were required to draw inspiration with an international panel of experts judging the entries under an overriding theme of “Bermuse”, paying particular attention to design, use of material, distinctive and convincing style and source of inspiration. Pantry's composition of coloured pencil and acrylic on board used Bermuda's coat of arms as its starting point and perfectly encapsulated in a lighthearted way many aspects of island life and Bermuda's history in a single image.
Wooden dollhouse from Macarena Bilbao

Don’t dolls need wonderful places to live too? We don’t have the need for one as much as we may have had in the past, but we couldn’t pass on featuring this adorable dollhouse by Spanish company Macarena Bilbao. Made of wood, it comes in two versions: grey with the roof and interior stained in walnut or white with a black roof and varnished interior.

Panama Banana rocker by Agota Rimsaite

To coin a phrase that was once popularised by Rachel Zoe. You can rock and relax on this lounger that is part hammock, part rocking chair. The Panama Banana  rocker by Agota Rimsaite is quirky outdoor seat. Resembling a segment of fruit, it can be used as a football goal too.

Woodstock Wall clothes rack by Jeroen van Leur

We came across the Woodstock Wall clothes rack rack by Jeroen van Leur when looking for pieces to outfit a small retail space. Designed primarily for residential use, the rack is a lightweight and mobile  piece of furniture made of ash wood that has been carefully treated to ensure the grain and texture is on show and metal. Attractive enough to be left on display, it is ideal for apartment life and only needs a wall to lean against. The modular system is inspired by tent poles and the pieces can easily be assembled, taken apart and reconfigured. It also has the additional benefit of being portable and comes with its own travel bag.

The Woodstock Wall rack comes in three sizes: small, medium and large, as well as in black.
