The first truly spring-like collection we’ve seen for New York fashion week so far comes from Lela Rose and it looks like a love letter to that very city.

The models strolled along a runway that was strewn with bright yellow rose petals while musicians serenaded them in the background. Lela Rose showed pastel shades of pink, blue, and yellow. The Manhattan skyline or images of city parks were projected on shirt dresses and separates. As we saw with earlier collections, her namesake - the rose - appears to be the most popular flower for Spring 2020. In addition to the gorgeous catwalk, the flowers turned up on diaphanous dresses, and were referenced on corsages and delicate lace borders. Spring has sprung.
