We stumbled across these super silver sneakers - a collaboration between adidas Originals and Wales Bonner - only recently although they were released as part of the duo's Spring/Summer 2022 collaboration.
The sneakers are in the ever-popular Samba style but rendered in leather and covered in a reflective gunmetal finish with lace-like stitching forming adidas' distinctive three-stripe branding and at the heel. The oversized tongue is a callback to retro football boots while the brown rubber midsole provides a grounded, subtle contrast to the shoes' high shine.

The collaboration draws on Wales Bonner’s research into the music and photography of Burkina Faso, West Africa, in 1970s and 1980s, and pays homage to creative energy and individuality of style.
