Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

A few years ago Federico Babina, a Barcelona-based Italian architect, switched from buildings to graphic design creating this series of architecture-themed postcards called Archicards.

The inspiration for the project came from Babina's childhood when he would use playing cards to build structures. The postcards are created in a mirrored, playing card style and feature famous architects. Babina used elements of each architect's style including iconic buildings, doors or windows in the detail of the cards to help represent the person being featured.

The postcards were created to be another way of representing architecture and to bring the practice to a wider audience.
