Beautiful, sculptural, and stunning are all apt words to describe the Hold modular lighting system designed by Mario Tsai for Mumoon Lighting.
As a starting point, the designer drew from an industrial background and based the system around a single module with connecting parts which can be extended indefinitely. Comprised of four ready-made components the pieces can be multiplied and composited indefinitely into chandeliers (pictured), floor lamps, table lamps or wall lamps. This feature helps to solve the problems of transportation, cost and the application of different sizes in a rational manner.

The lights are mass-produced with relatively mature moulding and surface crafts technology and are suitable for many different kinds of spaces: from modest homes to large auditoriums.
