This collection of ceramic boxes, vases, candelabras and bowls called Herzl started with a shopping trip for cheap, disposable toys on Herzl St, in Tel Aviv. From the pile of nondescript items that was acquired, a few select pieces were chosen by Studio Kahn to take part in this fun project.
Using slip-cast technology, pasting and hand colouring, forms of the toys were made and used as the starting point for new high-end, bone china items. Coated with a shiny glaze, the resulting creations are whimsical and elegant in equal parts.

The collection, which includes songbirds, fruit that never rots and an escapist teddy bear,. has the potential to be infinite its number.
