Much has been made of the fact that Victoria Beckham has introduced a “new” skirt length this season, but to be honest when combined with the show-stopping, thigh-high boots she paired them with, her silhouette remained pretty much the same in terms of exposure.
As she has in the past, Beckham showed culottes or vented tweed skirts that hit just above the knee, classic blouses with pie-frill collars, velvet blazers. A few voluminous sleeves thrown in to make sure things were current and chain belts with slightly offputting clasped hands for buckles added to the overall sophisticated affect.
The collection does not stray from Beckham’s usual aesthetic, but will cement her status as a designer for women who want timeless elegance and chic sophistication.
