The Iconic Louis Vuitton Capucines Bag has been reinterpreted by six contemporary artists including Beatriz Milhazes, Liu Wei and Henry Taylor for a series playfully entitled 'Artycapucines'.

Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes' bag takes after her vibrant and hypnotic paintings. The Artycapucines from Liu Wei is focused on his interest in geometric architectural forms, such as those found in his large-scale installation ‘Microworld’ which was presented at the 2019 Venice Biennale. Californian artist Henry Taylor’s Artycapucines features a striking portrait of his close friend Noah Davis, the late American painter and installation artist, using cutting-edge laser printing and traditional marquetry techniques.

Jean-Michel Othoniel's contribution is a couture interpretation of a summer basket while New York-based artist Josh Smith’s vibrant design recreates two of his well-known expressionistic paintings. Chinese artist Zhao Zhao’s contribution featured above is a sophisticated puzzle made up of over three hundred laser-cut abstracts sewn together into an elegant, reflective composition.
