We picked up a couple of packs of these minimalist wall hooks from IKEA last summer, and thought they were just part of the range designed in-house. Turns out the Klyket hooks are in fact part of a collection produced by the design firm of architect/designer Jordi López Aguiló's Kutarq Studio for IKEA.

Kutarq Studio were tasked with creating an inexpensive folding wall hook and we can vouch for their functionality and practical, minimalist design. The housing is made of powder-coated aluminum, the flip-down hook is acrylic-coated aluminum, the pin is stainless steel, and neodymium magnets hold the unit together when closed. Although the studio originally envisioned producing the hooks in a more striking colour,  and it’s understandable that the neutral, putty-like colour they compromised with is a much more practical choice it’s also the only negative thing we can find about them.
