Korean designer Seungjin Yang's balloon-shaped furniture began with an interest in the unexpected forms balloons take when inflated.
Seungjin draws inspiration from the people with whom he works with rather than other environmental or cultural issues. Using the easily manipulatable form of the balloon as his base material, he wittily subverts the typical understanding of the material as something soft and pliable to instead create something that is solid yet experimental in shape.
