Aluminium seems to be the material of choice of the moment. Following on from this post, here we have Allumette, an LED floor lamp designed by Knauf and Brown as an exploration of monolith forms. The name of the lamp is a play on the French word for a match but also references the core material, aluminium. The lamp is created around a structural form and has two recessed panels that act as reflectors and allow the internal light to be diffused.
