Modernica has teamed up with Chicago-based visual artist Louis De Guzman and global music artist J Balvin and Nickelodeon to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Spongebob Squarepants with this collection of fibreglass shell chairs.
Originally designed in 1948 as an entry in the Museum of Modern Art’s International Design Competition, Modernica's Shell chair is one of the most recognisable designs of the twentieth century. Each chair is manufactured and finished by hand in Modernica’s Los Angeles factory. The commemorative, limited edition collection includes the fibreglass chairs and an upholstered version as well as a daybed.
